The Stellar Enterprise's highly anticipated annual Halloween Party took place on Monday, November 4, at the luxurious Elijah Hotel in Salawag, Dasmariñas, Cavite. This year's event, Capes & Creeps: The Stellar Costume Party 2024, brought an exciting twist — inviting all participants to showcase their best character-inspired costumes!
As with previous Stellar Halloween Parties, Capes & Creeps welcomed the families of all team members. The festive atmosphere brought everyone together, from kids dressed as little heroes to adults in iconic costumes! Here are the standout moments that made this Halloween party exceptional:
Red Carpet Ready: Fashion Show Highlights You Can't Miss
The Fashion Show was divided into the Kids Costume Fashion Show and the Adults Costume Fashion Show. Led by the lively Host "Buda", each contestant took turns in the spotlight, introducing their characters before strutting down the red carpet. The crowd was thrilled as each embodied their characters with flair, from spooky to whimsical!
The judging criteria emphasized three essential aspects of costume performance: costume concept, character portrayal, and audience impact. For the costume concept, judges looked at the thoughtfulness behind each character choice and the creative touches in costume design. Character portrayal assessed how convincingly contestants brought their characters to life. Finally, audience impact highlighted the connection contestants created with the crowd, from drawing gasps to applause.
Creativity was on full display in the Kids Costume Fashion Show, with an exciting range of characters brought to life by the young participants! Ma. Estrella Romualdo (dressed as the Enchantress), sister of Data Entry Specialist Annie, won the Grand Winner title. Her bewitching performance and enchanting costume earned her a plaque, a gold trophy, and ₱2,500.
The first runner-up award went to Klea Shayne Romualdo (Chucky), also Annie's sister, who won over the judges, securing her a plaque, a black trophy, and ₱1,000. Lastly, Finnian Godfrey Escano (Skeleton Kid), son of Administrative Assistant Theresa, took the second runner-up spot. He won a plaque, a white trophy, and ₱500 for his eerie look and captivating performance.
Following the kids' remarkable showcase, the Adults Costume Fashion Show brought an even bolder display of creativity and character transformations. Zekinah Espina, Content Writer, took the Grand Winner title as she wowed everyone with her amazing portrayal of Maleficent! Her performance earned her the top prize of a plaque, a gold trophy, and ₱5,000.
JC Yu, Research Quality & Accounts Specialist, secured the 1st runner-up spot with his entertaining and unexpected costume of Skibidi Toilet. His humorous take on the character won him a plaque, a black trophy, and two days of Paid Leave of Absence (LOA)! His performance delighted the audience and proved that creativity and originality were key factors in the contest.
Rounding out the winners, Donald Olivay, Executive Assistant & Outreach Specialist, claimed the 2nd runner-up spot with his hilarious take on Wednesday. His comedic spin on the usually dark character had the audience in stitches, making him arguably the funniest contestant. He earned a plaque, a white trophy, and one day of Paid LOA for his unique and entertaining portrayal.
Scary Good Competition: The Best Game Lineups for Halloween Fun
The Halloween party wasn't just about costumes and catwalks. It was also packed with thrilling games that brought everyone together for competitive fun!
The first game kicked off with a twist, as two teams raced to create the longest line using items in either orange or purple. With just two minutes on the clock, the teams scrambled to gather anything they could find in their color, from clothes to accessories.
Next up was the Siopao, Siomai, and Suman game, a hilarious challenge hosted by Host Buda. Six adult players participated, each tasked with performing a specific action based on the food names called out by the host. Whether mimicking the shape of siomai or acting out the preparation of suman, everyone had to react as fast as they could!
The final game of the night was a Halloween-themed music challenge. Two teams of four adults each competed to guess the Halloween-themed songs being played by the DJ. As the tunes filled the air, the teams buzzed with excitement, trying to identify iconic Halloween tracks as quickly as possible. From spooky classics to modern hits, the game tested their music knowledge.

The Halloween celebration was made even more memorable with the delicious spread from Elijah Hotel! Guests enjoyed a variety of savory dishes, including creamy asparagus soup, crispy fish filet, flavorful soy chicken, and fresh vegetables. For dessert, a wide array of fruits provided a refreshing and healthy option, perfectly complementing the other dishes.
Special care was taken to cater to the kids with a custom kids' meal, ensuring that the youngest attendees also had a delicious dining experience. Overall, the thoughtful menu satisfied every guest and added a special touch that made the celebration feel complete. Whether indulging in the savory dishes or enjoying the refreshing fruits, everyone left the table fully satisfied and ready for more fun-filled festivities!
